what struck me most was Dunnes Stores refusal to even comment
I don’t know why we’re looking for someone to blame. Dunnes, Penny, Chinese Gov?
It’s us. The customers demanding cheaper disposable clothes. We forcing them to pick cotton.
The satellite imagery and secretly recorded footage of the camps was shocking stuff akin to 1940’s here in Europe. Crazy to think this has gone on unchecked for years.
I couldn’t believe that the „better cotton“ doesn’t actually guarantee that the cotton wasn’t contaminated if that’s the right word with the unethical cotton. How is there a governance body that doesn’t actually governance properly. I am also weary of Dunnes now because of their lack of communication back to RTE on the matter.
