      I respect someone who declines an award on principle. It says more than accepting ever could.

      Seems like a slightly weird flex to me but she didn’t get to be who she is by going along. Whatever you think, it is certainly in her character.

      There are many genres represented in those who got the award. Someone should explain that to her.

      She probably also doesn’t want to pay the ridiculous fees they charge inductees to be there.

      She used different reasoning before to turn it down ( other musicians not being recognized) . She doesn’t want it. End of story. ( Also, who really cares in the long run)

      The Rock n Roll HOF is interesting because it’s kind of just become the Musical HOF because they induct people from all walks of music. It’s the main HOF for musicians, they might as well just change the name.

      Shoutout to Outkast being inducted this year!

      I’ve always wondered why they don’t change the name to the Music Hall of Fame or even create a separate all genres HOF.

      Yeah, I just don’t get that logic. I once read that they (RARHOF) induct many people out of the genre because of what the genre became later on as a result of their influence on music in general. 🤷

      Even when we get old, we sometimes cannot see the forest through the trees, this is a good case of that. Sad.

      Jazz and rock share the same ancestry. Sad that she can’t appreciate that.

      She’s one of the best, and can do whatever she wants. The R&R Hall of Fame is really a joke, and I respect her decision. Good Vibrations, The Best Goes On, and countless other hits owe their success, in part, to her contributions/suggestions.

      She is pure attitude and talent. If she goes, fine by me, if not, fine by me. Kaye is a legend regardless.
