I really think subscribers aren’t a great metric.
This is such an incredibly boring visualization of such incredibly boring data.
Data tangentially related to the news of the day isn’t inherently beautiful.

The Orange Cheeto messed up on this one. Late-night as a genre was declining, and he just gave them a boost.

Sub count isn’t a good metric. Maybe something like average monthly views as a percentage of subscribers would be better. A channel can have 10 mil subs, but average 20k views a video.
Jon Oliver isn’t a talk show. Jon Stewart is stretching the definition quite a bit too.
Surprised Oliver is that low but I guess the show has become kind of predictable.
It makes me sad that Meyers is so far down the list. But it makes me very happy to see that Maher is even further down.
