Oh man… If he gets the case dismissed because this administration is too stupid to actually be able to not fuck up court cases, I’ll laugh for days.

I would say throw it on the pile but the pile is way too tall for that.
You are going to need specialized equipment to get it up there.

IN THE SPAN OF 4 DAYS:
1) president going on TV saying LM shot the CEO in the back. No alleged or anything. Already declared guilty.
2) Two high ranking staff in the AG and Deputy AG office reposting Trump’s interview saying he is right and AG Pam Bondi should pursue the death penalty
3) White House Press Sec blaming LM for inciting leftist violence and posting a memo on the website linking him to antifa (what?!? Anyone with half a brain knows Luigi wasn’t a radical leftist)
4) Stephen Miller doubling down what was said above in an interview the next day
And this is after Pam Bondi when in Instagram and Fox News in April before he was indicted. There was ALREADY a warning from the judge.
They are TERRIFIED of the public support for Luigi. They know he is not a radical leftist, but they are putting him into that narrative. His right to a fair trial has been compromised.

Hey conservatives, it’s nice that your incompetent yes men are protecting the god king for you….but like. This is one of the consequences. You’ve got idiots running everything. Good luck, lol.

O is this why hiring strictly based on loyalty tests is a bad idea?
The justice department is incapable of acting in the public interest.

By rushing to score political points they’ve risked bungling up the case. The same thing might happen with Charlie Kirk’s assassin.

There is a very real possibility of jury nullification if this case manages to go through.

Why is the potential for a mistrial not included in the list of possible sanctions?

We are getting “dangerously” close to a mistrial here.

Obviously Luigi Mangione did it. We all know that.
While that it’s important, it is not what is important in a criminal trial.
The government has the burden of proving that he did it and the defendant has a right to a fair trial. That means an impartial jury.
I’ve been a career trial attorney in criminal law. The State does not make public announcements about one of their cases before a trial. At most a short press release with bare minimum allegations and a comment that details won’t be released. After trial, you can release more as it is a little different.
You learn this day one as a prosecutor. Your job is not to win, it is do justice. Winning is obviously important, but ethics come first.
Defense learns it as well (but they have more room to make exceptions because their role is different.
If you see a lawyer, defense or prosecution, doing a press conference or making public statements before a trial they are trying to manipulate the public. It’s why you don’t do it.

Why do I feel like something’s going to happen where this case is going to have to get dismissed because someone does something stupid and it just breaks the law to the point that you can’t convict him of anything. I don’t know if we’ve already reached that point and they’re just desperately trying to cover it up. But nobody has been handling this court case with any amount of ethics and I do not know how you’re able to find an impartial jury with this case.
You ever see someone who tried so hard to dunk a basketball on a fast break over someone only to get hung up on the rim and fail miserably? Thats the DOJ on this case.

The federal charges likely weren’t gonna stick anyway (being a single act of murder within the jurisdiction of a single state), but some of the shit these idiots said might actually be bad enough to warrant a mistrial at the state level.
