BREAKENRIDGE: UCP besitzt weder den „konservativen“ Namen noch das Recht, dass Parteien existieren können

This comment from Danielle Smith is quite telling:

„She declared that, “If you allow one extra conservative party, I can well imagine we’d have 50 conservative parties on the ballot.”“

With this comment, she implicitly admit that there is not much support for HER personal brand of conservatism and that allowing other political parties to display themselves as conservative would „unfairly“ remove her power monopoly.

Denying the simple fact that a society is NEVER completely homogenous is denying people’s right for democracy.

I feel she’s acting like a corporation (e.g., Coca-Cola) who would block anyone from producing a „black soda“ because people would be ‚confused‘.

If the UCP was really conservative, people would not consider them an as a „cheap RC Cola“ version of what real conservatism is supposed to be.
