Dieses Poster ist seit mindestens 25 Jahren in meinem Großmassimas. Wir haben keine finnische Abstammung, also bin ich mir nicht sicher, warum es hier ist. Könnte jemand etwas Licht vergießen?

Basically its a Kummeli joke „paras A-ryhmä“ made into info/warning poster to swim in the Shore direction/by the Shore and not away from it

It’s public service announcement to tell the public to swim along the shore line (instead of directly away from beach). The men in the poster are from the most popular tv comedy-sketch series of the 90s.

    3. It’s a safety info poster. Basically it says don’t play in water, swim parallel to the shore.

    4. This is an anti-drowning campaign. At 90’s drowning was a big problem that was battled agains with many campaigns. This is comedy group Kummeli and they made a funny PSA song about safety near waters

    5. Poster promotes safety while swimming with a pinch of Finnish humor. The text says „Don’t waste water, swim along the shore.“

Älä lutraa means „don’t play with water“ and Ui rannan suuntaisesti means „swim parallel to the beach/shoreline“ for swimming safety I guess. The people in the picture are the famous guys behind Kummeli, Heikki Silvennoinen and Timo Kahilainen.

If you ever destroy this poster it’s automatically a life in prison. No matter where you live, we will find you.

This poster is a Finnish public safety campaign featuring characters from the comedy show *Kummeli*. It advises swimmers to stay parallel to the shoreline. The slogan says: *“Don’t mess around, swim parallel to the beach. The best A-team stays afloat.”*

That last line isn’t a direct quote from the show, but rather a playful twist on one of the duo’s well-known catchphrases.

Most likely it was published by the Finnish Swimming Instruction and Lifesaving Federation (or whatever it was called back then).

Anyone able to make out the fine print at the bottom?

That’s the A – team. The manliest of the manly men. You need to do all the Finnish ladies and ladyboys a huge favor and make a good quality scan of that picture and share it here.
