Trump does seem weirdly obsessed with Sadiq. Mentioned that he would’ve preferred him not to be at the recent royal banquet, and then said that Sadiq was going to implement sharia law… I try not to assume racism, but it’s hard not to assume this is just because he’s brown.

Should have just called a spade a spade. Racists seem to go into hysterics when you call them a racist, as if they refuse to admit that is what they are. „I am not racist, I just hate people from other countries and their way of life!“
He may not be perfect, but the Sadiq Khan hate from the right is so forced. It’s like they just use him as a talking point because „see! This country has gone down the shitter! Ar bloodeh capital has got a muslim mayor!“

On the one hand I’m not sure we should normalise what is effectively calling someone gay over political differences, but on the other hand, Trump’s obsession with Khan is pretty deranged (and clearly racist. I wonder what he’d say about Burnham?)
