Trump is shaking nervously right now! The Dems have enough votes to release the files!

    2. One step closer to the Epstein drop. Somebody get this woman some security to make sure she actually takes her seat in the chamber.

    3. This is awesome, however now I wonder if Johnson will refuse to seat her. It would have been completely unheard of until recently, but I fully expect it at this point.

The absolute blood fervor with which the GOP is covering up the Epstein files is telling that they see the stakes as so high, that they’re going to do whatever it takes to keep them hidden. It’s a party that knows in their hearts that Trump is implicated in trafficking & pedophilia, and the sunken cost is so great that they would rather suffer the embarrassment of continuing to be seen covering it up than getting out of the way and having it verified. It’s all so unbelievably fucking gross, but we are here.

The rapture is going to happen tomorrow but Jesus decided to only take Trump and Epstein’s victims to heaven and asks us to deal with the “Christians” he’s leaving behind… harshly

Discharge Petition here we come! After the House votes and Johnson takes his whipping from Trump, they”ll pick off four Republican Senators. The outrage would be too much for the GOP Senate to face with the midterms coming up. Collins, Murkowski, Tillis, Paul, McConnell and I expect others.

    6. „Democrat Adelita Grijalva wins special election for her late father’s House seat in Arizona“ That’s great news. I hope that she is as fiery and effective as her father was!!

A bit of a shame the 20 year old lost in the primary. A legacy 50+ year old isn’t what the democratic party needs.

    8. „At 54, Grijalva will be younger than more than half of her congressional colleagues.“

      Wow.

Proud of Tucson. Voted for her and I did it mailing in. Hopefully it’s a sign.

    10. This brings the House closer to an unlikely but possible change by the end of the year. Grijalva’s win brings the House to a 219R-214D spilt with two vacancies remaining. The Texas 18th, with the general election to be held on November 4th this year, likely goes to a Democrat (likely Christian Menefee or Amanda Edwards). That probably brings the total to 219R-215D. And then an interesting dance begins.

The next seat up is the Tennessee 7th. It is an R+10 seat, but the Democrats have a number of serious candidates running for it and smell blood in the water with recent special election results. IF (and it’s a big IF) they can pull off an upset there, it becomes a 219R-216D House. Meaning two Republican defections could kill any Republican proposals. IF the Dems win the New Jersey gubernatorial election (knock on wood, this should be a lay up but a shitass campaign by Mikie Sherrill has it closer than it should be), than the New Jersey 11th reopens but could be quickly filled as quickly as early January 2025.

IF the Dems actually can get a 219-216 split for 2026, they could theoretically make life much harder for Republicans as the 2026 midterms approach. They could also throw a Hail Mary to take the House out of Republican leadership— “moderate” Nebraska Republican Don Bacon is retiring and somewhat more “moderate” Pennsylvania Republican Brian Fitzpatrick is likely to lose his seat in 2026, and furthermore is hated by Trump for opposing the “one big beautiful bill”. If the Tennessee 7th goes, it means the tea leaves are looking very bad for the Republicans, and it’s possible some Republicans could try to jump ship before things go insane, with Fitzpatrick and Bacon being the best targets. Again, this is all based on the idea that the Dems actually win a big upset, but it is worth keeping in mind going forward.
