Well, if the current Japanese government was a company, the stock owners would have fired the CEO long time ago. LDP, who is currently leading the country, has been consecutively losing elections.

If the government was a company, the company would have gone bankrupt long time ago. They’re taxing the residents more to cover up for their losses.

EDIT: [Yuta Misaki strongly refutes the statement that „Prime Minister’s salary of 40 million yen is low“](https://www.zakzak.co.jp/article/20250923-73IYAFAOZ5BJFK4EY6I5ER5KYQ/)

      >Yuta Misaki, a former Aojiru Prince, criticized Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi’s remarks that the prime minister’s salary of 40 million yen is low. Many social media posts are of the opinion that politicians‘ salaries should be linked to their performance.

      >Misaki posted, „There is a prime ministerial candidate who has said that a prime minister’s salary of 40 million yen is low, but the fact that he is being paid 40 million yen after bringing the country to such a slump is strange in itself. I can’t see any future for Japan to recover if we leave it in the hands of someone with that kind of sensibility, and there is no way we can entrust Japan to him.“

EDIT2: [Horiemon refutes former Aojiru Prince’s claim that the prime minister’s salary of 40 million yen is too high with just one word](https://www.sponichi.co.jp/entertainment/news/2025/09/23/kiji/20250923s00041000334000c.html?page=1)

      >Horie pointed out, „If that happens, the salaries of all civil servants will fall.“

Don’t see his remark as a refute. He’s just saying something that’s obvious. If the company is in the red, they have restructuring to slim down the company and cut expensive. They don’t just rise salaries of their employees and ask investors to give them more money.

Yeah but he forgot to include the money he can get from corruption so it all works out in the end!
