Don’t worry in the future the government will have no means to compel social media companies to do anything like this because they will all be based in the United States and thus impossible for us to regulate. The social media companies that the Privacy Commissioner conspicuously was not asked to investigate are not doing a better job of protecting Canadian children.

Anyone going to look into this?

Our digital privacy is a joke in Canada. We need to have much tighter laws, including a clear understanding of what our data is going to be used for from these ‚free‘ services.
