Belgien stand seit einiger Zeit auf der "widerlegt" Seite des Chat -Steuerungsvorschlags, alle privaten Nachrichten bis Oktober zu lesen. Heute wechselte es auf "unentschieden". Aus welchem Grund ist das?

Honestly, this is not nearly getting the attention it should. People don’t seem to realize the risk that this legislation poses.
And the criminals they’re targetting? They’ll just move to other systems (e.g. TOR) within the year and only the dumb ones will get caught.

Edit: heb een linkje gevonden bij een andere comment ^^, Tja als ik het goed lees is er eigenlijk niet te veel verandered? Dus in principe zouden onze MEP’s moeten gewoon weer tegen zijn maarja lobbyen hè een belofte hier een cadeautje daar….Ik ga maar weer emails zenden hopelijk zullen er nog mij volgen hierin

I brought up arguments why Chat Control is a bad idea and I asked what his stance is. I’ll probably try a third time. What is insane is that companies and regular people have to conform to GDPR.
You have a personal website and want to collect IP addresses to know where are the people that read your blog from? PII, you cannot without asking consent, include retention rules, etc.
Here the state wants to see _all your personal data transitions you chat app_ and bam this is fine? This is more than a slippery slope, it’s an authoritarian turn. With the state, it is always double standard, it is unacceptable. Time for a new era of true liberalism, not that weird dystopian orwellian nightmare we have.
