How can they make a sequel when De Niro’s character died at the end?

The original Heat was hyped as the first time two legends shared a scene (De Niro and Pacino). Both were in Godfather 2 but never the same scene.
Not sure Driver would fit the bill for this. Or who his counterpart would be.

This could be good, if done well. The Heat 2 book is half sequel/half prequel. The sequel part (Kilmer’s character was only bad guy alive at the end of Heat) wasn’t nearly as interesting as the prequel part.

The original Heat film is so damn good. That diner scene. 🤌🏻

I know many people are a bit confused, but Michael Mann wrote a pretty good sequel an published it as a book a few years ago, let’s give it a shot.

A heat sequel with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jon bernthal would be amazing

I don’t feel good about this, but I will definitely watch it.

For me…the action is the juice. I’m in.

Anyone tell Bill Simmons yet?

That movie is so long I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s actually still going.

I tried reading the Heat 2 book and it’s not great. It’s OK. Very much reads like a novelisation of a rejected sequel script, which they released as a book hoping to get it greenlit. Oh, wait.
