Oh course, he has so much to gain from it. Every single airliner pays for turkish airspace, every western good in russia pays turkish import duties, turkey sells weapons, all the russian tourists stick to turkey… the list goes on
He is correct.
It *can* end quickly, Putin calls the troops home, or falls out of a window and new guy in charge says Putin was crazy and ends the war, done. It won’t happen, but it can.

The bit he is not saying out loud is that he does not WANT it to end quickly.
The war in Ukraine puts his regime in a pivotal strategic position and gives him a ton of leverage with the free world, it weakens a rival autocracy, and it lets him make a fuckton of money from arms deals. Just about the only thing it hurts in Turkey is tourism.
