It’s telling that when Conservatives are looking for something to blame for autism, they go right to something that relieves women’s pain during pregnancy.

    2. Do not take medical advice from known rapist, Donald Trump. None of the people saying this crazy shit are doctors.

      This is criminal.

    3. Wouldn’t it be such a chapter title in the history books that Tylenol were the downfall of his administration?

    4. Trying to claim Tylenol causes autism is especially stupid considering the diagnostic term of “autism” was first coined by Eugen Bleuler in 1911. Leo Kanner, an American psychiatrist applied it to children who exhibited a unique set of behaviours in 1943. And Tylenol? Well it wasnt even introduced until 1955. But we all know how well this administration ‚maths‘.

As someone who has Autism and has faced a lifetime of being targeted, and ostracised because of the common misinformation and misunderstandings about it, it is very distressing to see people in powerful positions like Trump RFK spread deliberate misinformation about Autism.

Please remember that the best health advice will always come from qualified medical practitioners – not politicians

Is the angle here less about paracetamol and Tylenol (the fall guy), and really about the fact that one of the quacks on the stage said they’d been in contact with many companies to ramp up production of Leucovorin?

Or is it just about creating big beautiful news to bury the erm, what is that big scandal again?

      Jeremy Einstein or something?

What do they have against Tylenol, the brand name? Can he not pronounce “acetaminophen”? They’re gonna sue the crap out of these dotards. Not to mention, where is the evidence?

      Asedur…Well let’s see how we say that..acid em…acid eminenufin.

(With all his sycophants trying to stop the embarrassment by shouting it at him.)

I had a doctor tell me this when I was pregnant with Covid. I wasn’t thinking straight from the brain fog and followed his advice. I woke up with a horrible fever and I feel guilty as hell because that has a higher link to adverse development than Tylenol does :(. I work in healthcare btw. But when you’re that sick, emotional from being pregnant, have brain fog and baby brain… it’s hard to be logical.

That’s the problem with kicking all the experts out – you lose all credibility.

never thought I’d side with big pharma, but I hope they bankrupt Trump for this

IF acetaminophen is the problem WHY say Tylenol? I hope Tylenol sues him for $15B.

Oh, and release the un-redacted Epstein files

Let them try to shut down fucking JOHNSON N FUCKING JOHNSON. Would like to see that discovery process

This is a personal mission for Trump. With recent (and respected) studies suggesting that there may be a link between paternal age (particularly men over age 50) and autism, he is looking to absolve himself of liability for Barron’s rumoured diagnosis and blame Melania because nothing can be his fault. Therefore Melania did it when she took Tylenol while pregnant.

I feel like this entire announcement is going to be met with an enormous lawsuit.

And their bullshit ‘cure’ for one very, very small subset of people who just have autistic-like symptoms is NOT a cure for autism.

Ignoring the complete disdain for women’s pain and lack of scientific evidence

It is so completely insulting that according to these people that apparently having an autistic child is worse than having a child with neural tube defects due to unmanaged fever, or the complications caused by increased cortisol or high blood pressure

    19. TheOnlyVertigo on

FFS the reason that Tylenol use has any potential correlation is because it’s effectively the only over the counter pain medication that women can take during pregnancy.

And the right will gobble this up because they don’t understand correlation and causation are two separate things (if indeed they can even pronounce those words.)

“In the coming weeks, the FDA will approve leucovorin (a folinic acide supplement) as a treatment for children with cerebral folate deficiency and autistic symptoms. Over half of all American children are insured by Medicaid or CHIP, so upon this FDA label change, states will be required to cover leucovorin around the country,” agency leaders said.

Medicaid services director Dr. Oz sells leucovorin via his supplement company iHerb.
