    1. > Disney and ABC will bring the comedian back to its schedule starting Tuesday night. “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive, “the company said in a statement. “We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

Everyone involved in the suspension still needs to be held accountable for not just censorship, but attempting to extort money from an American citizen for saying something our demented, degenerate President didn’t agree with.

That is a very mealy-mouthed rationale. I’m not renewing until I have some assurance that he isn’t muzzled.

    4. The first monologue on his return better be full scorched earth, especially on the cowardly Disney bosses.

Hell yeah. His show is going to break records tomorrow night.

Don’t apologize and don’t suck up to these assholes.

Feels like the most boiler plate „let’s try not to offend anybody“ statement about this whole thing.

Hopefully he actually addresses it on his next show, and they don’t convince him to sweep it under the rug

They only caved because a bunch of actors and celebrities signed a petition letter and people in the industry were likely going to turn against Disney.

    8. great for ratings , that’s all that matters I guess. Late night hasn’t gotten this much attention in years.

Good but still leaving Disney cancelled.

This disgrace to the first amendment should not be forgotten!

    10. Those ratings are going to go through the roof.

That might be the most covered single episode of a late night talk show in history.

    11. I am not resubscribing until Disney asks for charges be made against the FCC for threatening ABC.

We pay for Disney lawyers. So use them.

    12. I’m sure the resident at the White House will have a normal reaction to this.

Honestly if I’m Jimmy I tell ABC to fuck themselves, get out of his contract somehow and take the ratings to a streamer on a new show. It’s where the format is headed anyway.

    14. Don’t trust this – for now this is good but give it time. Trump will not be happy- don’t believe this is over.

This is a good step, but the boycotting should not be over. ABC may have given in to the protest, but Nexstar and Sinclair (affiliate companies of ABC) are refusing to carry the show. Disney is not taking a stance on this, they are passing the responsibility and allowing this behavior to continue. Free speech is not about compromising, it’s about the principle of freedom as is written in the American constitution (which unfortunately too many of us are now denouncing).

Continue to scream. Continue to shout. Continue refusing to pay corporations who violate rights, encourage division, and discourage freedom.

This why not entity should have that much power without something in place. Nexstar should not be allow to yield that much power and neither should a president, a tech company, or supreme judges. Corruption and greed can cause lots of issues.

Please please please start the show with the same opener that got him tossed.

So he now makes 15 million a year, and can’t be fired or released? Sounds like he’s got a good setup for the future.

    19. „The executives acted based on what was best for the company, this person said, and not on external factors.”

      LMAO

    20. Unless a major executive at Disney is shitcanned for this absolutely atrocious decision, it’s not enough of a backflip for me.
