      Largely nothing.

I think it’s a „middle of the road“ option for countries who arent pro-Israel OR pro-hamas but are pro peace.

      The article states that

       1. The recognition of Palestine’s independence allows other states to use more significant mechanisms to influence Israel than when Palestine had an uncertain status.

      2. It allows Palestine to join as a full-fledged participant in the convention that protects the rights of citizens.

      3. It makes it impossible for Israel to annex all the territories of Palestine that it captured after 1967 (de jure – as an internationally recognized territory)

The sad truth: It will reinforce the mentality on the Palestinian side that violence is the way to achieve political ends.

The lesson is clear — October 7th has, among many other and varied repercussions, led to increased international recognition of the Palestinian state, which makes the Hamas approach more attractive in the future.

It gives other terrorist groups a green light to use more kidnapping, terrorism, suicide bombings, as a means. Since its shown to work.
