My fingers are crossed.
It’s good that Hungary and Slovakia can’t veto this decision, they should have been making alternative arrangements 2 or more years ago.

I was in Croatia when Russia stopped delivery of natural gas in January 2009. Most restaurants closed as they weren‘t prepared at all. We went to a Sushi place as they had organized electric rice cookers – and the sushi selection was limited to raw fish (obviously) and uncooked vegetables. We were sitting with our jackets on in the restaurant. This was quite strange and funny at the same time. Most places didn‘t have heating.

The EU countries will continue to buy oil and lpg from India though, all of which comes from Russia
Good first step. But given their pro-Russia stance, Hungary and Slovakia should be expelled from NATO.
