      I’ll vote for her in either spot without question, but there is zero fuckin chance she wins the presidency. It ain’t happening in this shitbag country and people have got to just deal with it.

      Even if the Democrats win in 2028, it’s hard for me to imagine we won’t be back on the road to fascism in four years without an actual progressive like AOC in office.

      Very very obvious. Run for Senate and replace Schumer. So much easier of a race and it would do nearly as much good. Who is the Democratic bench member that the party panics and sends in at the last minute when she is 10 points up on Schumer? Torres? Suozzi? Goldman? She can beat any of these people.

      Also, Congresswoman, it’s a gen*cide. Even the UN now thinks so. Call it what it is. You’re not going to get the AIPAC support regardless. This stance you are taking of going halfway is helpful to nobody and no one supports it.

      Senate. We have lost elections the last two times a woman ran. Democrats have to take the White House back next election. We have to unite under Newsom.

      There’s nothing more I’d love to see than someone like her in the White House, but she’s probably three to four election cycles too early at the very least.

      Maybe just take Schumer out of the equation and help lead the party.

      America is still way too much of a sexist, racist country and she should know that fact better than most people.

      Dems are not going to win running any kind of special minority whether it’s a woman, person of color, or a gay person. Remember, Trump is running one way or another whether it’s as a VP/ speaker for the stooge(s) who will drop out. My bet though is he just says f the constitution and runs.

      Dems need someone who will both energize and activate the base while also leeching votes from moderate right

      The writing on the wall is clear: we either drag the troglodytes into an AOC presidency, forcing them to confront the Trumpism they’ve embraced, or we end up with a milquetoast Democrat who might undo only a fraction – – maybe 25% – – of the damage Trump has caused.

      I think the issue with her and the presidency is that she’s in the same kind of position that Hillary was in. She’s had a right wing smear campaign in high gear against her for years. She has a real challenge changing people’s minds because a lot of them are already made up on her. I think she would have a better career in the senate because I just don’t think she can win nationally.

      Not the presidency. Please… not the presidency. I love AOC… but Democrats just cannot win with a woman. America is way too misogynistic to do that. And progressive voters aren’t a big enough voting bloc to make it happen. Senate… yes. Take out Schumer. Take out Gillibrand. But not the White House… yet.

      If all the people saying „I like her but she can’t win“ just to vote for her in the primary then what will happen is…

      She won’t win the primary, but she’ll get such a large percentage of the vote that whoever does win the primary has to make her a substantial part of their cabinet if they win, and build a lot of policy around what her constituents care about. That’s what happened in 2020 with Bernie, people are frustrated that he didn’t win but Biden absolutely altered his platform as a result of the support Bernie had.

      That’s how primaries work, it’s the best opportunity for people to express the direction they want for the party.

      I’m from one of the districts she has, she should definitely go for senate. America is definitely not ready for a woman president yet, assuming we still have elections which i doubt, we need to play it safe and go with a guy preferably a sane celebrity/non career politician for now. But she should definitely take over as one of the leadership for dems.

      The last thing this country needs is another woman running for president. As much as I hate that idea the fact is that it hasn’t worked the last two times because American voters will never elect a woman, period. No matter who she is or how well qualified.

      A Newsom/Buttigieg ticket is overdue.

      Everyone saying she can’t win might be right, but also might be underestimating how detrimental the establishment democrats have been.

      Yes, there are some people who won’t vote for a woman. Many people.

      But there might be more people who have been screwed by billionaires and are down on their luck and who have been turning to the empty promises of Trump etc.

      The type of person who likes Trump AND Bernie exists
