Kimmel shouldn’t return. He should say fuck you, take the money and run. He doesn’t owe Disney a god damn thing.

    2. Meh, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I don’t think that a bunch of random celebs posting on Instagram is going to move the needle, even a fraction of an inch. As long as the execs think the government will retaliate against them in some manner, they aren’t going to make a major move.

    3. Kimmel shouldn’t return, but if he did, they should just move Kimmel to Disney+

i’d be curious to know the percentage of subscribers that actually cancelled their subscriptions. I imagine most people just ”like” the post, think they did good, and then don’t actually cancel.

    5. Not good enough. They need to openly and loudly commit to refusing to retaliate against their employees on behalf of the administration, no matter what actions they take. Until then, no money to Disney or any of their subsidiaries.

      I know some will say,
*He should tell Disney to go sodomize themselves and take the money he’s owed*
which I understand, I would do the same thing but he has a huge staff that would be unemployed if he does.

The best thing to do is give a half-ass apology and move on but to always remember what they, Disney, did to him, his career, and his staff. Also he is under contract with ABC until May of 2026.

The amount of people who are canceling Disney+ who did not watch the Kimmel show has to be wildly disproportionate. I’m upset what happened to but watching the show when it was on might have been a better way from preventing the show from being cancelled. Look at South Park

Disney needs to give Kimmel back his show, publicly apologize to him and his fans, speak up against fascism, and not punish Tatiana Maslany for speaking up and getting Marvel heads to cancel Disney+, and then MAYBE I’ll consider renewing my subscription

    9. Not even a fan of Kimmel in the slightest but this is wrong. Disney has no spine and for that I’m out and I’ll take my talents sailing the seas. If you know you know. Fuck these corporations bending the knee.

    10. I will not be renewing mine even if he comes back. Not like I ever watched him but it’s the principle of it all

If that many people were watching him two weeks ago, he would’ve NEVER been removed.

    12. His ratings were down in the low 100’s per night, he is not coming back. This is the opportunity for the networks to shit can him, they are taking it. Go look at the chart of all late night ratings over the last ten years, nobody is watching these late night shows. Kimmel: 160,000 to 129,000 that is dying on the vine.

    13. Disney put its lips in place we won’t go. You can never forget once they have done it. Orange lipstick isn’t a thing.

At this point, as far as the media conglomerates go, they’re probably wondering, Where do they draw the line? Who else are we going to have to take off the air? What do we tell advertisers?

    15. Hulu cancel button is disabled now. You have to go around and cancel through the help section of your account..

    16. People were saying no one is actually gonna cancel but I think they underestimate the way people relate to streaming services these days. No one is dropping $100+/month to get all the major streaming apps, we’re just hopping between different ones as interesting shows pop up. Cancelling Disney Plus was easy for me, there’s content on other platforms I can go watch instead.
