trump did say he would get prices for groceries lowered on day one but come to think about it he didn’t say what country

If one thing trump has proven in his second term and that he only cares about the already super rich and nothing about the poor or middle class here in America.

Stopping immigration by improving the quality of life of other countries, exceptional

    3. Mexican here.

Yeah, no. Shits still expensive AF. Beef used to be around 8 to 9usd per kilogram (2.2 lbs or so). Now it’s over 13usd.

Milk was less than a usd per liter, now it’s close to 2usd.

~~I obviously did not read the linked article but yeah, nothing is cheaper~~
Eta: yeah, they do have a point. Tomatoes went from 1.5usd a kilo to SOMETIMES .5usd a kilo. Last week they were closer to .75usd per kilo

    4. It’s been interesting here in MX, vegetables and other local products are getting a bit cheaper, imports like coca cola are getting more expensive (there was a big outrage this week because coke products went up like 15-20% overnight).

Honestly, I see that as a win. Can get my caffeine from incredible domestically grown coffee, and if I need a sugar fix from fresh blended fruit juices.

    5. Brazilian who lived 6 years in the EU here. Back in Brazil since 2023 and now it’s the first time I can buy the same quality of coffee I used to drink in France. Thanks to Trump a lot of things that used to be exported are now being sold in the internal market. Dollar is falling, economy is booming. And Bolsonaro is going to prison. I might have to make a caipirinha to celebrate, everything is going great

Trump is „America first“ he didn’t specify of he meant Central America, South America, or the United States of America.

    7. Trump is making every country in the world greater than he is making America. He has also made great headway in getting his bank account great again. There has been no real or meaningful policies, procedures or initiatives that are the result of his leadership. His mental decline and erratic nature will hopefully, if they ever realize how he is bringing them down, be used by other government members within the Republican party to remove him from office. I can’t imagine that it hasn’t been seriously discussed amongst them yet.
