Although the right loves idolizing racist confederate traitors to the Union, they’re just using Kirk’s Killed Korpse to distract from Trumps messed up child trafficking crimes.

It’s incredible that we are having these discussions about a hatemonger. I am worried about what people in power will say about David Duke someday.

I’m terrified she will be one of the first they come after high-profile. Outspoken, strong, non-white, non-christian. This is going to be a horrible 4 years

Yeah, don’t care what MAGA or the government says: Charlie Kirk has done nothing but spread hate & misinformation, is undeserving of being remembered as anything other than a racist & bigot, and no amount of whitewashing is going to change that.

Just like Rush Limbaugh. You don’t hear the right quoting Rush ever or bring him up. Their words have always been hollow and single use like cheap plastic.

Wait, not so fast. The Charlie Kirk murder is a big deal! America wants to know all the details. One question is a must:
How much of Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric came directly from right-wing think tanks?

Not many people get into the history books for running a successful “get out the vote” organization or debating college freshmen. Kind of niche stuff.

As someone who does not live in america.
Who’s watching what’s happening in America, and in order to get caught up on matters du jour,
Taking a moment to listen to what that man was saying. Charlie Kirk.
While sitting in my arm chair and watching what’s happening in america today.
I agree with what this woman is saying.

I do love that after she was vindicated from being censured (in a motion brought on by one of the usual right-wing snowflakes, Nancy Mace), Rep. Omar is doubling down, and she has every right to, lest Republicans want us to forget that we live in a country where you have the right to free speech.
Also, targeting her isn’t isolated to Charlie Kirk. Republicans have had it in for her since she was first elected, and their reasons are as reprehensible as they are on-brand for what the party has become.

I find it weird how many people on the right want to honor Charlie Kirk, a person who said Biden deserved the death penalty, who basically said if a black person has a job other than picking crops then they got the job because of the color of their skin, who felt all members of the LGBTQ community should be stoned to death, but not a peep about the four members of the Army killed in a helicopter crash yesterday. Tells you they love Charlie’s beliefs more than the troops they supposedly support.

>It’s one thing to care about his life because obviously so many people loved him, including his children and wife. But I am not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind. That should be in the dustbin of history, and we should hopefully move on and forget the hate that he spewed every single day.
Pretty reasonable statement.

It’s very telling how all I see about him is how Christian he was and how he had a family, but none of the people saying that stuff want to engage with anything he actually said or believed outside of his religion.
Also, this needs to be said…screamed from the mountaintop….being Christian in and of itself does not make you a good person. Being a devout Christian does not automatically make you better than someone who is not, and that’s a much bigger thing than Charlie Kirk. I’ve seen seeing that all my life.

Two things can be true at the same time: Charlie Kirk was a piece of shit. He didn’t deserve to die. This is Omar’s stance and it’s mine as well.

There are very few who are not footnotes or forgotten: John F. Kennedy, or Mahatma Ghandi are examples of those. They were known internationally and will be remembered for a very long time. Lesser known people get forgotten quicker, for instance Robert Kennedy.
Charlie Kirk did not reach enough fame worldwide before his death. I would say he is similar in fame to Robert. I just hope we can forget his killer faster than Robert’s killers name.
