“Collapsing Liberal and Conservative”

Labels like “socialism” or “capitalism,” “left” or “right,” often become weapons in this game. Words get twisted, and ideas that could unify us are cast as threats. Yet when we look honestly, the real question is not about ideology but about relationship: how do we live together, share resources, and care for one another?

Education, travel, and exposure to new perspectives can help us see beyond the limits of our upbringing or geography. But even those who never leave their hometown, who live close to the land or labor in the same job for decades, carry wisdom. None of us are reduced to our political label.

The truth is that human beings everywhere want the same things: safety, dignity, belonging, and the chance to provide for their families. When we collapse the illusion of liberal versus conservative, we begin to see one another again as neighbors, not enemies. And from that place of recognition, abundance is not an ideology – it’s a way of living.

Right relationship means seeing beyond the labels that divide us. Liberal and conservative, left and right – these are costumes we wear, not the essence of who we are. When we meet each other beneath the labels, we find the same longings: safety, belonging, freedom, and care. If we relate to one another from abundance instead of fear, the old divisions begin to dissolve. What remains is not a side to defend, but a shared humanity to honor.
