    1. Much as I like her, she wouldn’t get the nomination. She ought to run for Senate if her immediate ambitions are higher than the House, she’d have a good shot at that.

    2. Dems need to be looking for the most charismatic, charming, media savvy, likable man they can find. They need to find Obama 2.0 but with consideration toward how messed up our current climate is. They keep playing with people but it’s like, he doesn’t need to be a farmer or a blue collar or religious or anything – he needs to be wildly, effortlessly likable.

So… massive speculation? She’s amazing, but wtf is this headline?

    4. I don’t think she’s seriously considering running, but if she does, I can’t fucking wait to see the people shitting on Hillary and Kamala find reasons to turn on AOC too and call her „uninspiring“. Always happens. Always happens.

How is AOC going to run for President when the Orange TACO baffoon said he was going to run for three terms? Or more?

    6. If that’s true I’ll bust my ass trying to get her elected, but I think she’d be much more useful primarying Chuck Schumer for Senate majority leader.

    7. This would be a mistake. She isn’t even a senior congressperson. She’s the face of the progressive caucus, but lacks the institutional support to make a successful bid.

Last line in the article gives the lie to the headline

      >Members of Ocasio-Cortez’s team have recently been positioning the progressive lawmaker, known as AOC, to either run for president or run for a Senate seat.

Member of the house to president is a big leap.

Jump to Senator then on to committee chair then on to president is much more likely.

That being said I would vote for her for president, I cant imagine who they are gong to get for the primary.

    9. As a progressive, I love this.

As someone whose seen how racist and exist this country has become, Im pessimistic

AOC is a fire breathing Democrat. Fuck MAGA and Republicans. Unless another greater fire breathing democrat steps up to the plate, AOC would be fine with me. Btw AOC doesn’t have to plot to do shit. She can plan to run or not run, plain and simple.

I’d rather she run for the Senate and go for president in a later cycle tbh.

Good. She’ll have to splinter away from the Democratic Party though because they’ll never put her on the ticket. They’ll let her speak and raise money, but they’ll never put her on the ticket.

    13. Fox News has totally pavlovized the MAGA states to hate her. She could face crowds that would want her dead all the time trying to reach out to these people groups.

Finally some good news about 2028. I don’t think she’ll win the nomination, but I think she’ll drag the party further left, kicking and screaming if she has to.

The two reasons I want her to win: 1.) She’s progressive and I agree with her policies. 2.) MAGA would melt down and fuck them for putting us through this bullshit for the last decade.

    16. The US has proven twice now that they’d rather elect a rapist/felon/complete and total piece of human shit than any woman, much less a woman of color.

I have liked AOC from the jump (I know there are a few valid criticisms of her), but I just don’t see a woman winning the presidency in this hellscape any time soon.

And that’s without mentioning that she’s far too progressive to get the nom anyway.

Go to the comment section for this on any Facebook news site and those who are crying about how „mean“ the „left“ is being about Charlie Kirk’s „assassination“ are being 1000xs worse.

Plot away! A great deal of her opposition seem really upset by this. She could definitely create some BERNIE type energy.

If Democrats want to have any hope of winning they need to nominate someone like Andy Beshear.

AOC won’t win and we’ll be stuck with Vance or one of Trump’s sons until the 2032 election.

    20. TheInfiniteSlash on

I think she has the potential to be the face of the party, but I would rather her “Step 1” toward that goal be ousting Chuck Schumer from the Senate in NY.

I’m for a run down the line, but breaking apart the establishment Dems comes first.

    21. She would be amazing, but I don’t think she’d win a presidential election with how openly racist, sexist, misogynistic this country has now become.

    22. jayjohnson007 on

Dear lawwwwd? If you want the dems to win then don’t have a woman run! This country is nowhere close to being ready!

    23. OpinionatedM-A-N on

Only people here in this echo chamber believe she will win. Just like they believed Harris would too. Get a white Christian man from a purple state.

    24. y_not_right on

When will America learn its population is too sexist to elect a woman

Are you really going to throw another election? It’d be great if she won but she can’t sadly
