We haven’t blocked an MAGA American that’s going on a Canada tour to stirr up pro-America annexation dialogue. We haven’t blocked the IDF members going on illegal recruitment drives in Canada in violation of Canadian law on adults joining foreign wars. We haven’t blocked Betar an radical misogynist terrorist organization that has commited acts of terror. We haven’t jailed anyone for engaging in illegal war profiteering by using tax exempt and special protective status community buildings to sell ethnically cleansed land in the West Bank.

But we can ban an Irish band because they call for the end of the IDF, a UN recognized organization that targets children and ruled to be causing a genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

Get your priorities straight Carney. Kneecap has done nothing to Canada.

The article doesn’t delve into it, but Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh was charged with terror-related offences in the UK for openly supporting terrorists and calling for the deaths of British MPs at a London gig:

I don’t think it’s particularly surprising that a musician openly supporting a terrorist group with pending charges would be denied entry to Canada.

I similarly would hope anyone caught displaying Nazi flags would be barred entry as well.

There is no place in Canada for people like this and I frankly don’t buy the argument that it was an act of creative expression or solidarity with Palestinian people.

You can make art and support Gaza and be critical of Israel without openly venerating terrorist groups or trying to incite violence against politicians. Freedom from consequences isn’t a thing.

I think that in this thread there’s a LOT of people who can’t tell the difference between legitimate criticism of Israel and antisemitism.

It has felt like people are perfectly capable of criticizing China and Russia and their governments (both of whom also have credible allegations of ethnic cleansing and genocide against them) without being Sinophobic or Russophobic but for some reason you just have to hold water for groups founded on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
