i used to work near Brussels and commute with the train, am i glad i dont have to pass through it anymore, what a difference Antwerp or Ghent is with Brussels. Ps i am from a minority myself so yes even i have my opinion about the place.

Don’t interact with them, don’t acknowledge their existence. Not just on trains but everywhere. A beggar/scammer is talking to you on the street? Don’t stop, don’t respond, don’t even look in his direction. Just walk.
