Why are u even holding the card?
Once I see them approach I already shoo them away before they get to me with their stupid paper. They don’t even get a chance to put it on my table or give it to me. Neither do they try.

These guys have nothing to lose so rational me would just look the other way, but if he pinched me lile that I don’t know if I could keep calm and not kick him. Tend to get quite jumpy when people touch me when I don’t expect it.
You kept your cool quite well tbh.

These types should once pinch the leg of someone who’s well-trained in some painful martial art. Despicable behavior

Had the experience, with same approach from him. I guess the only option is to call securail the moment you see him entering the train car and starting giving out the papers

yeah fuck these people, if you try to ignore them, they’ll purposefully put money on your leg to get your attention. it’s always between brussel noord and brussel zuid. I’m not sure if NMBS does/can do anything about them. the worst part is that I’ve actually seen non-tourists give them money…
I think they purposely annoy you so that you give them money to „leave you alone“.

He touched you and you didn’t do anything about it?? Even though it clearly bothered you! Grow a pair…

It’s one thing to ‚beg‘, but the pinching the leg is absolutely NOT OKAY AT ALL. What is that person even thinking? “Let me assault this person so he will give me money“. The sad thing is this will keep happening because reporting it is too much trouble and time wasted anyway

Don’t negociate with these roaches with „bro“ and „i have nothing“ . When I see them I just say „nan oublie“ and they move away

These same rat fuck scammers tried the same thing on me. Guy was pissed that i rejected his paper and still offered it anyways. He didnt like the way i rejected it and started being aggressive/physical, i simply stood up and raised my voice, thats when he backed off like a pussy
Dude kept cussing me in his language afterwards. I really had the urge to snap his fingers when he touched me. Whats he gonna do? Call the cops?

Whenever a beggar asks for money I have an answer that works every single time. I recommend using it. “Dude it’s 2025. I don’t carry cash with me sorry”

You can just throw their leaflets into the garbage bin by the way.

Sorry, the belgian police is busy giving fines because you stopped your car to unload groceries with the wheel on the edge of the pavement so the bus has place enough to pass. „It’s forbidden“, with a grin on her face, the police girl told the guy they were fining. They don’t have time to deal with these people or other serious crime or dangerous people.

Immediately call Securail at **0800/30 230**.
These are organized gangs and the begging is often just a diversionary tactic to enable theft. A commonly used technique is, for example, to snatch a laptop bag very quickly just before the train departs so you can’t chase after them because the doors have closed.

This summer I took the train to bxl midi on a rare occassion and also saw these guys a few times between North and midi.
Is this something new since recently?
I went to college in Bxl around 2010 and never saw that back than.

There is a couple who are begging money in Gare du Nord area once, attempting to steal my phone with covering it with a letter, and I found out said fuck off or i call the police 😂😂they more like 50yrs old
Much_Guava_1396 on
Don’t interact with them, don’t acknowledge their existence. Not just on trains but everywhere. A beggar/scammer is talking to you on the street? Don’t stop, don’t respond, don’t even look in his direction. Just walk.
