Wow a guy who tried to stage a riot to overturn an election and then promised if re-elected no one woudl have to vote again, is now trying to steal elections.

Who the fuck could have ever predicted this.

Trump, a know disqualified insurrectionist; de facto enemy to the United States in more way than one constitutionally speaking, is exploiting the ‚immense federal power‘ to usurp the will of the People by wantonly depriving them their votes in elections.

    3. Why the hell would he want that if he doesn’t plan to run again because he legally can’t?

(Yes, I know that anyone paying attention for 5 minutes these days knows the answer.)

Almost like we should have got out and voted for someone else. Cest la vie

    5. They are going to use this information to intimidated dem voters. Or go after them using the IRS and other types of bullshit.

    6. I know it’s very popular among conservatives to dislike being called fascists, but this is literal, actual fascism. What else do you call it when the federal government seeks to seize control of elections?

America, we are in ***grave danger.***

wow does this mean that the administration will be voting for me from now on.

a convicted felon with immense federal power, trying to cement his authoritarian rule

    9. How else will the ICE squads know where to go to intimidate us at the voting booths

    10. This is Watergate, just open. Dems legitimately campaign that this was going to happened and people just didn’t care.

    11. Heard a rumor of them trying to bump this data against SSA and USCIS immigration records

    12. I have a deep feeling that this administration was behind the cyber attack on the state of Nevada. I also think that our MAGA governor was involved. His biggest brag in his announcement that he is running for reelection was the 160 democratic bills he vetoed. We are a swing state, went Trump in 2024, but we had a huge bullet ballot surge that was nearly impossible.

    13. Well yea, authoritarian regimes don’t just give up power and accept the consequences of their actions over a silly little thing like a fair election.

They need to follow the template Republicans laid out between 2020-2024: delay, delay, delay. Run out the clock until past the mid terms or beyond. Challenge every court ruling.

Let’s be real. Trump isn’t doing shit. This is Stephen Miller, Heritage Foundation, the GOP (Johnson, Thune, etc.) and all the other billionaires fucks who want a dystopian nightmare that they truly exploit in whatever disgusting way they want.

Trump is just a figurehead. He’ll get into it with reporters when they say something he doesn’t like. But he doesn’t give a fuck about anything, assuming he even knows where he is. They shower him with praise in the open with those weird suckfests, but behind closed doors, he’s a child to them. These rich, GOP assholes give him a toy to distract him while they go about their business and only acknowledge him when they need him to sign something.

They keep him because he still has some magic grip over their base. A chunk of the population doesn’t pay attention to the news, so there’s no need to worry about them. Their apathy is their defeat.

And the Democrats are kind of in limbo.

Governors need to form a separate country and stop paying taxes to the federal government. But they won’t, they will just continue down the road towards the end of American democracy and into a dictatorship. Don’t wait until you’re in the death camps to find some courage.

At this point he might as well commission for himself a crown and a throne

Genuine question: at what point does the military recognize the “domestic” in “all enemies, foreign and domestic”? Is there actual training/protocol on that part?

ETA: this is more of a 10 years ago question, I know nothing can happen under the joint chiefs now

What I don’t understand is what is the game plan? Like long term? If we head down the ultimate fascism path…their regime cannot last. History shows they always fail.

And a lot of those running the show will be alive when that happens. Do they just want 10/20 years of rule before heads roll?

Like the economy will certainly tank. It’s inevitable. It’s not like when Hitler came to power when Germany was in the shitter. We were literally one of the best economies in the world post COVID before the republicans took over. Do you think the world is going to just keep doing business with us? No. Most of the 1st world will move on from us. And then what? When all the democrats are jobless, in jail, or have fled…the remaining republicans will face certain economic doom. Do they just want to be like Russia? China? Do they think that will work here?

So like what’s the plan? Really? I kind of just don’t get it.

    20. States say? Pretty sure he’s said it himself, perhaps not in those words but he’s said it.

    21. If all the ongoing election rigging effort for 2028 was to run Charlie Kirk then the Project 2025 guys must be irritated. Charlie would have been 35 years old for three months by inauguration day 2029 so he could have run.

Edit: I just noticed his middle name was James. Seriously James Kirk.

    22. Good luck with that. They’re only targeting blue states with this nonsense. He’s also trying to tell States how to run their elections which isn’t going to fly either. He’s really trying to further along the balkanization.
