      Watch, in 2026, any network airing a Democratic candidate’s speech, rally or paid advertisement will be threatened with lawsuits, removal of broadcast licenses and criminally charged with anything from libel to “election interference”.

      People sometimes ask me what the ‚point‘ of large protests like No Kings are. And a large part of it is to **push back against the atmosphere of fear** which leads individuals and institutions to obey in advance.

      The regime wants you to believe that their rule is inevitable, but in actuality **it’s incredibly weak and unpopular.** Fear is contagious, but so is courage.

      I remember a time when the left called Bush a fascist. Literal hitler. He was occupied the same place in the left’s heart that Trump occupies now.

      It would really be nice if I had the resources, both political and financial, to show the slow but perceptible change of support for political violence by all sides.

      I think if I could point to numbers and I had power last year or yesterday or today I could show that we, the left, are falling into the same trap the right did.  Violent rhetoric against Trump is harmful because it normalizes it, in addition to being dangerous on its own.

      I don’t have the money to pay for AWS or Google Compute Engine or Azure instances to crawl Twitter and Reddit.  And API changes and support for citizen-led data gathering has decreased with AI crawlers and „stolen work“ narrative frames.

      But if I don’t publicize that information in time, who will?  What intelligence institution has an incentive to do that instead of waiting for a new normal that ensures never ending funds?

      I support the DOJ and others in bringing justice to elder abuse and so many things they do.

      But yesterday I could have reduced the violence.

      And tomorrow there will be too much subtext around me.

      I believe that.  Just like I believe stories like this contribute to the us vs. them frame.  And that will be used to unite Europe around false gods.

      I would go as far as arrests of those who the white house decares „antifa,“ in order to ensure a right wing victory in any votes to release the epstein files.

      Maybe even the same with anything else democrats do to protect health care for Americans. 

      The insurance company lobbies are working overtime lobbying for deregulation and in repealing the ACA.

      I remember the Bush Administration saying “if you’re not with us, you’re against us.” In reference to opposition to the Iraq War – the war that was based on lying and fake intelligence and gaslighting.

      I know Ari Fleisher said it, but wasn’t that one of your lines Mr. Frum?

      So, thank yourself Mr. Frum, you were a happy cog who wrote propaganda and tacit threats on free speech and in the process helped kill Democracy.

      The way I look at it, voters have one shot to overwhelmingly vote against the GOP in 2026 to stop a full on dictatorship. They must take both the house and senate and several governships.

      The republicans will cheat every way they possibly can—voter suppression, gerrymandering, lawsuits, bogus criminal investigations of candidates, propaganda campaigns—and if it isn’t the highest percentage turnout for dems since FDR, then the gop will hold Congress and the country is in for long, dark night.
