Yet the pro-nuke folk still have no answer to the myriad of issues facing a 20th century technology failure.
Why must we spend untold billions of taxpayer monies on an energy source when there are cheaper alternatives?
The pro-nuke people still have no explanation for what they will do with the dangerous waste produced by their so-called ‘clean’ energy.
Oh wait – they will bury it, really deep, real really deep. Of course it is so dangerous that it kill people for thousands of years that the nuclear industry is desperately trying to find a solution by finding a language to communicate with our descendants generations from now…

Nuclear power is a ‘one size fits all‘ solution that is incredibly expensive, highly dangerous, extremely centralised, is simply bad when compared to cheaper and safer sustainable green energy.
I’m all for nukes if they can be done economically.
But lets be real the primary benefit of nuclear power advocacy is hippie-punching. Opposition to nuclear power isn’t really rooted in the very real concerns about cost, it’s rooted in the innumerate soil of ’nukes scary‘, and a party that can disregard that sort of policy pressure is one that demonstrates that it can make realistic decisions.
Regardless of your personal opinion on nuclear (we’re all nuclear experts here of course), the people of Ontario firmly accepted nuclear as their energy production method, just as hydro was chosen by Quebec. Turning this ship around is deeply unserious.
If you’re at the „reconsidering“ stage for nuclear in 2025 you have no business making decisions at the provincial level.
