Hey alle. Ich ziehe zu einem neuen Lumo -Apartment und Lumo bietet DNA -Internetdienst mit einem guten Preis an, aber alle 4 Ethernet -Sockeln in meinem Haus sind so abgedeckt. Wie verbinde ich ein Modem, wenn keine verfügbaren Ethernet -Sockets verfügbar sind? Ich habe einige Nachforschungen angestellt und die Leute sagen, dass diese Sockets wahrscheinlich unpopuliert sind. Jede Hilfe wird geschätzt. Vielen Dank an die Bilder oben zeigt die Sockets und wie es in meinem Elektroschrank ist.

Try to pry it open with a small screwdriver from the bottom, the top is most likely hinged. See if it there is a connector. From my basic understanding and reasoning would lead me to believe that these are populated sockets, but rather unused.
If all else fails contact Lumo or your building’s kiinteistöhuolto. They should sort it out for you.
Ask your landlord. If they are connected, the lids can be slided open.

Modem or router goes inside the electrical box so you can populate all the 4 wall ports. Port labeled „atk“ goes in to the router and from router connect the lan ports to the 1-4 ports with similar cable. One can be enough but often getting wired connectivity to multiple ports and rooms is beneficial while wifi works from the router inside the electrical box.
After just use a knife or screwdriver to open the white cover.
Those wall sockets have numbers 3 and 4, and they most likely go to sockets 3 and 4 in the electric cabinet.
Internet comes from socket „ATK“ in the cabinet. You might need a internet contract with DNA or some other provider if its not included in the rent.
Get router in the cabinet, stick it’s internet to „ATK“ and LAN ports to 1-4.
Then you plug computer in wall socket. Are you sure there is not connector behind those sockets? Have you just tried to take plastic lid away?

Yeah like others adviced, just lift the cover, if there is nothing, dont go tinkering things on yourself, especially in „electric cabinet“ i know, it may sound easy and you can do it, but dont.
Why you want remove something from rental apartment. Call landlord first.
