At least they invited the adults to the room. Hopefully something positive comes from it.

    2. Carney’s at it again. Guy is doing a good job representing Canadian interests.

    3. It’s fascinating how an international relationship so basically normal can seem so exceptional these days.

    4. I hope we (Canada) finally come to our senses and hedge our business relations with the US. We may not share a border but we share a continent and there is a lot Canada and Mexico can do together outside of tourism.

The fact that 80-90% of our exports (or whatever the number is) go to the US is unacceptable.

I don’t know why Canada doesn’t start adding tariffs to electricity exports. Probably illegal but it’s not like international laws and agreements matter anymore.

      >The agreement will cover infrastructure, trade, health, agriculture, emergency preparedness and security, senior government officials say.

      >Carney’s two-day visit to Mexico City is happening as Ottawa seeks more trade with Mexico in response to the United States‘ trade war, and as both countries brace for the renegotiation of the continental trade deal linking all three economies.

Fucking beautiful. More trade between Canada and Mexico means the US is likely losing out somewhere along the line, even if by a little.

I think the world should assist the US in becoming the isolated country it apparently wants to be.
