Its great to see the cloister used for something good like this.
Unfortunately it was just never going to be a success as venue.
And its a beautiful building inside.
Cool to see some funding for the Carnegie Library in Kilkenny. The new library is great, but I always think it’s amazing to preserve libraries in old fine buildings like that – it shows that the state values that stuff.
It’s a pity that the plan seems to be totally converting it to archives, which is probably less useful to locals. Would be nice to preserve part of it as a small library and reading room.
That’s really good, there is plenty of building around ireland waiting in line to get things done. I would love to see Aldborough House in Dublin being taken care off.
Was expecting to see Kilmainham library in there tbh.
