It’s almost like someone warned us this would happen during the election. Unfortunately she was black and female.
And Americans keep letting them. It’s 100% up to the American people to fix this mess. The GOP has control of everything. You can’t wait for Chuck Schumer and the Democrats to write stern letters. You can’t wait for the next elections that surely Donald won’t rig. Americans have to figure out what to do, themselves. Or this won’t ever end.

When the Kirk thing happened, I was like oh shit, late night shows are gonna be interesting tonight.
Then I noticed, aside from Kimmel, most of the major ones had their last episode before a break just a few days before the Kirk incident.
It got me thinking, man… if you were gonna stage a political incident for some chess move, it’d be a good strategy to time it for when all the major critics are off the air to minimize any “the emperors aren’t wearing any clothes” commentary.
Emperors was plural on purpose.
Kimmel just happened to be a lose end.

There’s no rationalizing this one away conservatives.
The FCC chairman, out in the open, threatened to apply pressure on ABC/Disney to get Kimmel suspended during a podcast with far right caricature Benny Johnson earlier today.
This wasn’t another „purely financial decision“ or a sole decision by the company, or however you try to justify it—the government directly intervened.
Not to mention, Nexstar, a major ABC affiliate group, is currently seeking an approval for an acquisitions worth $6.2 billion, sound familiar?
And speaking of, this isn’t the first time, I don’t suspect it will be the last that the FCC applies regulatory pressures on media organizations that don’t toe the line.
Brendan Carr himself:
> Frankly I think it’s past time that a lot of these licensed broadcasters themselves push back on Comcast and Disney, and say ‘We are going to preempt — we are not going to run Kimmel anymore until you straighten this out.’ It’s time for them to step up and say this garbage — to the extent that that’s what comes down the pipe in the future — isn’t something that serves the needs of our local communities.”
