      Just tell Trump he cannot have a presser, if he wants to silence the media. Not like we’d miss out on anything. I doubt he’d just say: „Ok, then I’ll just go silently.“

      Why will nobody stand up to this idiot? Not talking to the average citizen, but countries, companies…he’s going around the world silencing all media as to his whim. Why are countries going along with this…oh right, the tariff threat. Can’t the big g7 (no Trump) just get together and say screw him, protect our sovereignty, and don’t let him bully us? It’s not like this bending over gets them anything. Maybe a few kind words, then nothing but more bending over

      This is very fair. The ABC has a reputation in recent years of being extremely partisan and a de facto propaganda news outlet, running many explicitly anti-US articles and hit pieces. I don’t think any country would want forigen propaganda outfits turning up at their press conferences.

      And nothing of value was lost… trying to find meaning and a consistent position in the stream of mumble coming out of this guy is not worth the effort. You don’t need a reporter there to know trump avoided answering any remotely challenging question.

      Watch the actions his administration takes, there’s more than enough news there.

      This happened after John Lyons (a respected journalist with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation) asked Trump how much wealth he had accrued since becoming president. The Tangerine Toddler replied (after trying to deflect from the question by rambling on about a ballroom) that Lyons was “hurting Australia” and that he (Trump) was going to “tell him (our Prime Minister) about you”. Yes, seriously.

      This embarrassing clown has made American the laughing stock of the world.

      Before people talk out of their rear end look at the question the reporter asked Trump. It was a very fair question he wanted to know about the two billion dollars that Trump and his oligarchs received in crypto purchase from the United Arab Emirates. 2 weeks later the UAE was allowed to purchase previously unallowable most advanced AI computer chips. The outfit that bought it has a direct pipeline to China. This can threaten the US and the world if China is able to make huge leaps in AI. Trump bristles because he knows this is the biggest scandal in American politics. Just imagine for one second if Biden or Obama or any American president had done this.
