Did the Rohingyas ask a witch to curse her?
Isn’t that what’s supposed to happen when you order a genocide?
Or you die a hero…
The world glorified her while she was under house arrest. Heaped honers and awards upon her.
Then when she got her freedom she used it to spread hate. She became a different flavor of oppression. Hurt so many people.
Shame on her.
Ah, the monster that tricked us into thinking she was a hero only to get power and abuse it.
Oh well.
Just wondering, how does her son look twice her age?
Yay… serves her ass right
I remember writing for her in Amnesty International in the early 2010s, never knew what happened to her after the house arrest incident. She was definitely revered. I hope she knows she inspired a lot of people and change in the world. She was probably better off remaining an activist and not being the one to take power, sounds like a very complicated socio-political situation.
For all the folks hand-waving away her entire disregard for the genocide she helped provide cover for…
She was under house arrest unjustly for *years,* yes?
You say she was never *really* in charge and the military junta basically gave her no options, correct?
Why couldn’t she as a world leader with access to a microphone simply state that openly, condemn the militaries use of her as a political prop giving the veneer of a movement towards democracy, condemn the genocide, and go back to house arrest?
Why did she allow herself to be used by the military for cover for their genocide? Why did she fail to speak out on this using the international reputation she grew while under house arrest?
