Are we going to ignore the fact that Jimmy *already* condemned the killing as „horrible and monstrous“?

    2. [[ r/uspolitics says they’re receptive to articles. They’re a smaller sub. Don’t overwhelm them and make them regret it. ]]

Trump promised „Kimmel was next“. This has nothing to do with Kirk.

There’s no cloaking this in „business decision“ like there was Colbert even though it was covered by the thinnest veil of denial.

They’re dancing on his grave with the official White House statements, FCC response to CNN, etc. The Trump administration is resorting and consolidating the major media in the country.

Trump: „Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT“

Clearly political posts being inexplicably pulled 🟰 FCC weaponizing their power to get Disney to pull Kimmel’s show

Thats rich the fcc now cared about misinformation? Oh and Kimmel’s remarks are not misinformation.

    6. The First Amendment doesn’t exist in America anymore. Period. Fascism is here and it’s chilling.

    7. Nothing he said was a lie.

Kirk hadn’t even been declared dead before The Embarrassment in Chief was blaming leftists.

    8. Surely the chairman of the FCC threatening a media personality for making obviously political statements isn’t political.

      1+1=3

    9. Wasn’t about Charlie Kirk, was targeting how fast Trump had moved on with his ballroom comment. FCC was weaponized and ABC caved.

      Goodbye Disney.

America really is turning into late 30s Germany in real time; this timeline fucking sucks.

Fuck Trump & FUCK all of you who voted for this.

    11. This not only is an assault on the freedom of speech, but remember this also attacks the freedom of press

Pretty disgusting what our Convicted Criminal in Charge is up to.

      Welcome to the CCCT!

    13. Already cancelled my disney plus subscription. Will it make it a difference from me only? Of course not, but it’s the only middle finger I can give.

    14. xxlordsothxx on

Guys, cancel disney+ if you use it. Then remember to vote in the midterms.

We need an administration that won’t use the FCC to silence the opposition.

    15. It appears he was de facto suspended by the local stations‘ owner before and/or regardless of what ABC decided:

      >The network’s decision Wednesday came after Nexstar announced its ABC affiliates would pre-empt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” indefinitely over his comments.

They could have did this to anyone on their NBC/CBS/Fox stations too.

      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assets_owned_by_Nexstar_Media_Group

A single media conglomerate shouldn’t own that many channels across the country.

    16. Isn’t misinformation allowed?  Even if Kimmel is wrong and knows it, aren’t entertainment shows especially allowed to say whatever? Isn’t that what Fox claims theirs news shows are?
