Das polnische Parlament SEJM hat gerade den grün-leuchtenden Präsidenten Karol Nawrocki durch die Ratifizierung des polnischen und französischen Vertrags von Nancy. Mit bemerkenswerten 403 Stimmen dafür! Die parteiübergreifende Unterstützung ist auffällig. Sobald der Senat bestätigt, kann Nawrocki eine neue strategische Ära in pOL-FR-Beziehungen eröffnen.

It’s neat that they chose to call it the Treaty of Nancy. The city of Nancy is famous for the Place Stanislas, so named after the last duke of Lorraine, Stanislas Leszczyński, who was a former king of Poland.
France and Poland, both sacked Moscow at one point in time.
Who was against?
I’ll be having some Polish charcuterie to celebrate (I was still going to regardless).
May we squeeze the Germans into shape and the Moscovites harder.
I hope we will do a better job helping Poland than last time.
As a French whose grandma was polish (and with cousins in Poland still) , I’m happy that both countries reinforce their cooperation.

Such unity is rarely seen among Polish representatives. Which means they switched to under-danger mode. This only happens in eve of historical events.

I think Canada should jump onboard with the increase in defence ties with France. having a close friend with an independent nuclear program isn’t a bad idea
