This was a tactic. Let the first pass, blow up a middle vehicle. Because the rear won’t reverse and abandon the front and vice versa.

Fun fact, a lot of the reason us combat engineers started using vehicles like buffalos and huskies later in the wars were because the bottoms were shaped like a boat for this very reason. If you ran over a remote detonated or pressure ied most of the blast could be deflected out the sides of the vehicle instead of near certain death in a flat bottom HMV

My dad was in Iraq at this time and has talked about responding to calls for IED cleanups. Wild to think this is something my dad responded to and had to witness/deal with. here I am able to watch exactly what happens and what he witnessed with his own eyes from a shitty 144p camera.
