      RIP

A great actor, and ridiculously handsome

My favorite movies of his were All The Presidents Men, The Sting, and Butch Cassidy

I saw the Electric Horseman recently – not a great movie, but he was good in it

    2. And we lost another one of the good people. What a loss. R.I.P.

      Sincerely

      Skeletor 💜

    3. Nooooo!!!! Just NOOOOOOO! So many of his movies I absolutely loved…The Way We Were, This Property Is Condemned (w/Natalie Wood), The Sting, BC&the Sundance Kid, and so many more 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

My ex wife’s mom makes a dessert she calls „The Next Best Thing to Robert Redford“.

      RIP Mr. Redford

I know that he only did Winter soldier for his grandkids, but I’m so glad that he did. Because he’s one of my all-time favorite actors and having my 8-year-old see him in Winter Soldier has been a great segue to showing him some of Robert Redford’s other movies. He would have never been open to watching any of the other movies if he hadn’t known him as the bad guy from Winter soldier. Just a fantastic actor and person. A well-lived life and he has an excellent legacy.

The generation of Hollywood we grew up watching is dying off. That means we don’t have long ourselves. Celebrity deaths make me feel older than any birthday ever has.

    7. All the President’s Men was a film that made me fall in love with History at a young age. RIP Mr. Redford

What a man! I Wouldn’t even know where to start with his legendary film work! Thank you, rest in peace.

Out of Africa made me want to visit and 30 years later or so, I did. And I’m heading back in October and will toast a sundowner in his honor!

    11. David Lynch, Gene Hackman and now Robert Redford. The world of cinema has lost some real giants this year.

Holy shit. Absolute legend, Hollywood royalty, and possibly the most handsome man to ever exist. RIP

This one hurts a lot. I’ve always admired his movies, from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Jeremiah Johnson, to Three Days of the Condor. He left behind a fantastic catalog of films.

      RIP, Mr. Redford.

A huge star that helped support independent films when no one else was doing it. RIP.

I’ll remember him as a great producer, really championing indie and political films.

      Thanks.

    16. Oh man. I didn’t see this one coming. Never even thought about it. Bummer.

He always seemed so spry and in good health.

      This timeline sucks…

RIP to one of THE greatest actors and human beings of our lifetime.

My mom is gonna lose it. These are rough times for cinephiles her age. Dude was a legend, rest in peace kid.

    19. A true talent. I was in awe of his beauty when seeing him in the Twilight Zone episode, Nothing in the Dark.

“It isn’t me you’re afraid of. You understand me. What you’re afraid of is the unknown.”

      RIP legend.

Independent and mainstream films would not exist the way they do – filmmakers from Tarantino, Ari Aster, Kevin Smith etc – without what this man did with Sundance Film Festival.

Well shit. Guess I need to actually watch at least one if his movies now. If anyone does see this, reply with your favorite and I’ll give it a shot!
