You know… I think Liam Hemsworth looks like he can pull this off and do a damn good job. Unfortunately the show is just so broken that it won’t matter… I can’t tell who this show is for anymore.
The show was already going downhill fast and Cavill was the biggest draw, this will be the last season and I’m surprised that there’s anyone who didn’t see that coming.
Henry wasn’t just a great fit for Gerald in terms of physical appearance but he seemed to be the only person in that show (including writers and producers) who actually read Sapkowski’s books and played the games. He perfectly understood that the books and the games have different tones and he knew where to set the middle point to please the fans.
Anyone can tell he had a lot of inputs on season 1 but the producers started to „do their own thing“ mid-season 2 and season 3 is an absolute debacle.
Should we adapt the source material the fans love? No. We should butcher it because we are too good to be writing this fantasy schlock. -Every fantasy show writers room for some reason
