ELI5: Why would I give PayPal my crpyto so they can send it „P2P“ (wrong term anyway because there is a middle men) to someone else when I can just send it myself from my wallet.

What’s the point of this when you can literally do it yourself. Have we really come back full circle? Did we really create a system to remove the middle man only to decide we need 2 middle men?

Just another point of view. This can be good for payments of crypto to random people for goods or services. It creates a receipt when you pay for things through paypal. I see this as a mainstream way to use crypto for payments so the average person can track what they are paying for.
Will everyone use it, no. Will it be useful for some, yes. More ways for everyday people to use crypto the better, imo.
