More evidence they never cared about free speech. They just wanted space to spread their „ideas.“ Now they have complete control, they are using the government to unconstitutionally crush any semblance of free speech while still championing themselves as freedom warriors.
Arrested for what exactly though? The article doesn’t state what crime she committed or law she broke.
Charlie preached against cancel culture. The Abbott rejects the teachings of Kirk by threatening others who disagree with him. He needs to disagree better.
Celebrating a person’s death is disgusting, but it is covered by the First Amendment, and the government is prohibited from targeting people who do.
It’s interesting that Kirk can immorally spread hate for a living and get praised for teaching hate to college kids.
But teachers who have a moral opinion about his hateful scheme get fired as being ‚unfit’…. just for having morals.
It’s been more and more clear over the years how easy it is to tell what kind of leadership a person in a position of power holds.
* Do they threaten and try to „lead by fear“ and try to leverage their power over others under them ?
* Or do they try to help, lift people up, be empathetic and supportive.
If you start watching how people in leadership positions behave towards those under them.. it becomes obvious pretty quickly which ones are the good guys.

Not going to celebrate death but seriously, Kirk was one of the biggest shitheads of modern politics. Yes we can still be happy that someone that has been indoctrinating college kids with oppressive beliefs is no longer able to. There’s a difference between disrespecting a dead person vs criticising the asshole behavior someone did while alive. It’s not disrespectful to call out how toxic he was for the country regardless, even though conservatives keep saying it is.
Murder is wrong. But „empathy is for the weak.“ So I refuse to feel bad about it.
This is the ACTUAL first amendment violation that the snowflakes on the right are always going on about.
It’s so telling that all these guys want to drop the hammer on people for speech yet haven’t suggested one new law to prevent what happened to Kirk, from happening again.
