      There is a million ways to say that he was a quiet, reserved, timid, unsuspecting, gentle seeming man to the locality of his small town, and that’s the impression your acting has to give, without saying sensationalist crap that sounds defensive of the murderous grave robbing human-skin craftsman

      so this Monster series is just a big blowjob to all the serial killers it covers ig. its not that hard to portay them as evil monsters without humanizing them.

      the dahmer series got a lot of shit and i expect this one too as well.

      Most evil people weren’t evil to everyone all the time. Nazis have family who love(d) them. War criminals have family who love(d) them.

      It’s easier to think serial killers are otherworldly monsters without any humanity in them than to think of them as people who do fucked up things.

      People are complicated as fuck and while I appreciate showing serial killers being complicated brings, I couldn’t watch dahmer because it felt like nothing more than serial killer porn.
