„Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya said Sunday that recognizing Palestinian statehood would not by itself resolve the conflict“
It certainly wouldn’t hurt though would it? But never expect a moral stance from Japan that requires bravery, ethics, or any measure of personal cost. Instead we’ll wait until international pressure against Israel get strong enough that Japan can add its voice without fear of getting backhanded by the USA for stepping out of line.
Japan is the USA’s biggest piggybank, and is indirectly funding the terrorist state in the Levant.
Japan retains various US military bases, and personnel on its soils.
You are not going to see a definitive stance from Japan on this.
After this statement, you might get the « Why can’t we get along, we must get along! », when most countries will have no choice to declare the disaster for what it is.
Personally, Japan can’t even solve a domestic rice hoarding issue, and is bowing to the rice barons. Japan is not a position to consider global issues, when it can’t even control its domestic food distribution. #LaughingStock
