They know they can’t win in any objective metrics by their own merits (specifically talking about the government here, not the average person), so instead they just spend their time ruining every other nation like a bunch of preteen trolls, laughing every time they make another country fall into internal conflict.

We should have cut them off from the outside world a decade ago, and told them that they only get to come back if they stop meddling in everyone else’s affairs, but, you know. No money in *that*.

And before anyone says it, yes, I think America also deserves to be shit on for its constant meddling, too – but let’s be honest with ourselves here, up until Trump, at least America didn’t just say “we are going to destabilize literally every other country in the world whenever we can.” For all of our many, many, MANY faults, Russia is still exponentially worse (again, excluding Trump)
