I am still not seeing any actual evidence for the claim.
And seeing as how „definitely qualified for the job“ FBI man Krash Patel couldn’t seem to confirm whether or not they had the shooter in custody (not just once, but twice), then I think I will hold off on even accepting that as a truth just yet.
The lack of evidence is extremely telling. No one is coming forward on the record. There are no photos. No social media screenshots. Think about how quickly we learned about other perpetrators, and now the total lack of information about Kirk’s killer.

Edit 2: no, BBC and other outlets reporting the governor’s comments is not evidence. Again, not a single photo of the shooter and his girlfriend? Nothing? Just the bullets inscribed with meme war bullshit.

I know a number of conservative people who seem to genuinely believe that the Democrat agenda is to force every American to undergo a sex change. So when they hear pro-trans or support transgender, they imagine the government kidnapping them and their children and forcing them to swap genders.
