We all (‚all‘ as in ‚people with basic knowledge of history‘) see the similarities to what happened in 1930s Germany – so I will skip this obvious warning.
Think about this: ‚when did we STOP?‘
We stopped only, after we were utterly defeated after a catastrophic war against (almost) the whole world.
We were one country surrounded by powerful colonial empires (France, Britain and the Soviet Union) so the odds of victory for Hitler were always marginal (aside from the fact that conquest of a sovereign nation is an abomination).
Now look at the US, definitely THE most powerful military on the American continents.
Who would stop you if your current administration started to expand? Expansion in the name of ‚national security‘ and ‚manifest destiny‘?
What if it was successful and the Dawn of a new ‚Golden Empire‘?
