The Russian army always bragged about being powerful, but can’t even protect its own soldiers from preventable diseases.

Russia needed to be dealt with following WW3. Hitler and Stalin, cmon man. The Russians like strongmen telling them what to do.

If you’re a Russian infantry man, and you are wounded seriously, you may well be left by your comrades to bleed out or be captured. Even if you are taken back on rickety stretchers, you face dirty blood transfusions and dirty needles in packed quarters with sick soldiers. Even if you survive that, you will be sent back to the same terrible trench conditions. What an awful prospect! And, surviving all this, you return to a poor part of Russia, where medical conditions are primitive.

This is a HUGE side effect of wars that no one talks about, going all the way back to the Romans at least.
WWI was ended in large part because soldiers were dying from the Spanish Flu at higher rates than from being killed or injured in combat. During the Civil War twice as many soldiers died of dysentry than soldiers killed as a result of combat.
Large numbers of people in close quarters without proper sanitation is a recipe for disease.

With MAHA eliminating all vaccinations in the US to anyone under age 75 this is what the future holds for the US and its military?

I remember seeing a video from a couple of years ago where soldiers reguarly trained to use and maintain footwraps because socks weren’t considered an issuable item. That’s either mental or metal, I’m not sure which.

Russia is also the major contributer for the antivax movement. So best to treat them like the Nurglites they are.
