The only people shying away are those that take offense when you quote him, verbatim.

As Charlie would have wanted, we should all remember his wishes to reveal the Epstein files. The least we can all do is see the fulfillment of his final request.

I hope to live my life in a way that – had it been the other way around – Charlie Kirk would have been glad I’m dead.

    4. lifeisahighway2023 on

He was a proud scumbag but really that pretty much defines MAGA as whole: pride of ignorance.

    5. FlemethWild on

The amount of people defending Charlie Kirk but also seemingly having no idea about what he stood for or what he did with his life is simply astounding.

      And also incredibly dishonest.

Usually, they know he was bad person that encouraged political violence all the time and called for the deaths and persecution of minorities.

But they’re hoping *you don’t know that* so they can use your ignorance about him to change his image.

      Don’t fall for it.

Political violence is wrong; many people tried arguing that with Kirk because he so often invited violence against his perceived opponents and enemies—but he was among its biggest advocates.

Yea id rather racists show their true colors than hide behind fake smiles.. if you dont like me for my physical appearance/skin color thats fine, it tells me everything about you that i need to know

„Stop asking America to mourn the makers of hate. No one is celebrating Kirk’s death because in a democracy, political violence is never acceptable. But that doesn’t mean we should rewrite his legacy. Kirk spent his career stoking fear, smearing the vulnerable, and legitimizing hate. To demand mourning for a man who mainstreamed cruelty is to excuse the damage he did to our democracy“
      The Hartmann Report

So refreshing to see trump walk back all that radical democrat crap after they found out a groyper did it, right?

    9. flinderdude on

This headline is stupid. He was a propagandist grifter, and his goal was to penetrate the minds of college kids for future generations so they vote Republican. That’s all he was there doing. A very important role which is why everyone apparently loved him on the right. He was making a difference for the Republican Party establishment. And he used psychological tricks to “debate“ lesser prepared and younger people poorly making more liberal arguments, and then “defeating“ them in debate.

    10. amanam0ngb0ts on

Kirk himself advocated for his own type of death, and didn’t want sympathy/empathy.

We’re actually honoring his world view but not making this dude a martyr, by not being sad about his departure.

The world is a better place without him moving along the Christian fascist movement. Period.

    11. happyherbbby on

Just be honest about who he was. It wasn’t a good person. He was a disingenuous, hateful bigot, racist, misogynist and neo nzi.

    12. aesop_fables on

His wife saying how she will make sure his message and legacy live on; does she know how racist he was or is she just saying what she think she should say?

    13. If the right agreed with his message so much and didn’t see it was problematic, they should have no issues with people pulling out some of his greatest hits, like gun deaths being necessary and empathy being problematic.

    14. Terrible_Chair_6371 on

There is a reason why there isn’t a single video of his speeches that doesn’t have a cut or are edited; not a single one of his tirades would be allowed on mainstream TV because of their racist, misogynist, homophobic, and anti-immigrant messages. He’s not even subtle enough for Fox News.

    15. Hundreds of nice, innocent people are dying daily worldwide. I don’t celebrate, I just don’t fucking care for this rhetor of hate.

    16. Exact-Kale3070 on

when the reverend martin luther „the“ king was killed, the media played powerful clips from his speeches. when kennedy was filled, the media played powerful clips from his speeches. same with malcolm x, etc.

they cannot play a 3 second clip of kirk, bc literally everything out of his mouth was hateful insanity.

this toothpaste doesn’t go back in the tube. his mourners are free to mourn, but they cannot convince sane people he was a good man. he was hate profiteer who leftists steered clear of. we are not celebrating, we have ZERO to do with this shit.

    17. „Charlie Kirk didn’t shy away from who he was. We shouldn’t either.“ Yup. He was a christian nationalist domestic terrorist. Calling him a „conservative activist“, that is popular with the normie media, is an insult to the English language.

    18. Solomon_Grungy on

I read something about this phenomenon we are currently experiencing with the Kirk Martyrdom in Huey Newtons Essays From The Minister Of Defense.

He talks about how after a political figure is killed, they can be turned into a mascot. They can be lifted up, people can say they stood for anything they want, challenge anyone who dares say anything to the contrary.

Charlie Kirk was an American Propagandist taken out by another far right idealist, and now the right wants to use this as justification to do what they’ve always wanted to.

    19. Unhappy-Bookkeeper34 on

Seems many are failing to understand that declining to mourn a particular victim of murder =/= celebrating or endorsing their murder

    20. BaronSamedys on

Been saying this since it happened. We should hold him to the standard he set for himself. Remembering Charlie in a new, sanitised, version means we lose the real person he was. He may as well have not existed at all if we’re just gonna make up a version of who he was.

    21. SweatingSeltzerGirl on

no matter how much i read up on this i can’t understand why this is such a big deal. why is the FBI director tearing up at this shit. no one gives a flying fuck when children are mowed down.

    22. LunaChick916 on

You are so right! I am so opposed to his political views and I shouldn’t have to fear expressing my own views.

    23. Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life, as cataloged by Sean Fay-Wolfe | Diamond Axe Studios (@seanfaywolfe.bsky.social):

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.

      • Gay people should be stoned to death

      • Most people are scared when they see a black pilot flying a plane

      • Taylor Swift should reject feminism and submit to her husband

      • No one should be allowed to retire

      • Leftists should not be allowed to move to red states

      • British Colonialism was what „made the world decent“

      • The guy who assaulted the Pelosi’s should be bailed out

      • Religious freedom should be terminated

      • Multiple black politicians „stole white people’s spots“

      • MLK Jr was „an awful person“

      • The Great Replacement Theory is reality

      • Hydroxychloroquine cures COVID

      • Vaccine requirements are „medical apartheid“

      • Guns deaths are acceptable in order to have a 2nd amendment

      • Women’s natural place is under their husband’s control

      • Parents should prevent their daughters from taking birth control

      • George Floyd had it coming, the Jan 6th protestors didn’t

      • The 1964 Civil Rights Act was a „huge mistake“

      • Encouraged parents to protest mask mandates

      • Mamdani winning in NY was a travesty because Muslims did 9/11

      • Muslims only come to America to destabilize Western Civilization

      • Palestine „doesn’t exist“ and those who support it are like the KKK

    24. I’m sure all the free speech warriors lionizing CK on here are very upset about all the people being fired from their jobs for saying anything remotely negative about him.

I won’t hold my breath to see if Fox and Friends is going to get upset about it because after all, shameless hypocrisy is the Right’s super power.

    25. InternationalAd1512 on

Charlie was not bright as a public debater and was not a deep thinker. Watch his matchups at Cambridge and Oxford. Those students destroyed him. It was no contest.

    26. Dnemesis123 on

Why doesn’t the police ask him point blank about his political affiliation? Instead of asking grandma and a random friend.

It’s not like the dude is gone. Just ask him directly; i can’t wait to see Maga’s reaction when the truth comes from his own mouth.

    27. I’ve been saying this. It’s the right trying to make him into something he isn’t to serve their agenda, and it’s despicable. He knew he had unpopular views, and he wanted you to know what they were. Censoring him is literally the opposite of what he wanted for himself, like him or not.

The people who claim to love him are shitting all over him and what he would want right now. They are driving the nonsense.

If he’s beloved by his supporters for who he was, then there should be no problem having his vile content reposted and celebrated, ridiculed, memed, whatever the case may be.

But we don’t have honesty in this country anymore.

    28. no guys, he just gets a bad rap because you’re always quoting him out of context. /s

    29. He was barely even doing original material, he was repeating what conservatives want to hear.
