    1. From the article:

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) said he’s received threats over his Thursday statement urging the Trump administration to help cool the nation’s political temperature after the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“My office has received an extraordinary number of violent and graphic threats yesterday and today from right-wing individuals online and over the phone—directed toward me, my family, and my staff—after I pointed out the simple fact that President Trump should join [House] Speaker [Mike] Johnson [R-La.] and other level-headed Republicans in condemning political violence, not inciting it further,” Moulton wrote in a Friday statement on social platform X, with a screenshot of hateful comments under his social media posts.

It’s gonna be really awkward (or funny) when all of the bloodthirstiest storm the streets and then they realize that no one came to fight them.

I want to say that’s the moment that they will finally start introspecting but I know it’s not true.

„can we all just try to get along?“

„i’ll fucking kill you for saying that!“

magats love the idea of being victims while trying to oppress everyone else, and kirk’s murder fulfills their sense of being under attack. it legitimizes the desire to commit violence they’ve always been carrying around.

    4. This is what fucking happens when democrats reach out to the other side and try to tamp down the rhetoric.

I guess Moulton should try to come up with another way to “reach out” since republicans don’t understand peace.

    5. Trump promotes violence against everyone that doesn’t agree with him so good luck with that

Stop wasting your time. Why would he condemn what he spends the majority of his time trying to incite?

The man from the Epstein files has never had a problem with violence as a tool.

Judge politicians and media talking heads not by whether or not they are specifically against violence against prominent people. They are all somebodies, so it is only natural that they want a „somebody exemption“ for violence.

(Moments of silence for Kirk, but not for the nobodies shot in in a Colorado school on the very same day.)

Rather, judge them by their rhetorical relationship with violence in its many forms. Do that and you see that a good many on the right have a comfort level with violence.

And so far the right wing donor class thinks violence overall works in their favor–a conclusion reached because they continue to fund politicians with that rhetorical affinity.

    10. Mass shootings and political violence.

      Percentage Breakdown by Ideology (2015–2025)

Right-wing ideology: About 75–85% of ideologically motivated political violence and mass shootings, including incidents tied to white supremacist, anti-government, and other far-right motives.

Left-wing ideology: Roughly 10–15% of such incidents, often sporadic and far less frequent than right-wing violence.

Other/unknown ideologies: The remainder (less than 10%) includes Islamist and unidentified motives

Ahhh yes the coming together they spoke so much about. Just them coming together against whatever they hate.

There is no adult in the maga party that would consider calling for peace. They want division instead of healthcare and a strong economy. They lift up propagandists that call for violence and blame education and science. The Dark Age has come to America.

“We will kill you for your calls to condemn political violence” —Trump cultists

    14. Rep Moulton received death threats from the freedom of speech people. A proper secret service and DOJ would look into all credible threats but they are too busy investigating other people for crimes that the POTUS committed, and walking the streets of DC looking for food delivery drivers who forgot to carry their INS papers.

    15. He has bigger problems. He has still not investigated the Cabal running the harborside jimmy johns.

Is it possible to be an American and make a political statement and NOT receive death threats from trumpists?

Right wing nut job shoots and kills another right wing nut but Democrats are the problem.

It’s infuriating that people are threatening him. We need Mr. Moulton to investigate the Jimmy John’s at One Harborside Drive in Boston. Mr. Moulton, please unscrew the caps on the cement trucks, it is urgent!

    19. The optimism of this guy asking the guy who did an insurrection and many other heinous violent acts is amazing.

I’m done talking with anybody about this shit, all I want to do is discuss balkanization. It’s time we went our separate ways and lived in our own ideological havens. Enough. Let the fuckers live in their theocratic country and let us live in a science-based society.

We are in a never ending cycle

Right wingers spread violent rhetoric against minorities and the left -> that violent rhetoric causes a societal divide and emboldens people -> someone takes action on that rhetoric -> Democrats condemn political violence -> Republicans refuse to condemn political violence, and depending on who the perp is, double down on this -> right wingers make the (imaginary) claim that leftists have been encouraging violence and that now it’s their turn -> right wingers send death threats -> rinse and repeat.
