Almost like it’s completely untested technology that should be used with caution rather than being forced into every aspect of people’s lives.
Strange that

I think the genie is out of the bottle on this one.
We either move with the times and embrace AI or we fall behind.
I am also very very wary of it, don’t trust it but the truth is if everyone else is using it and we don’t adopt it then we’re gonna be left behind.

Maybe because AI is not intelligent? It can’t actually fact check, it will throw up different responses based on regenerating the stochastic methods behind it and it’s closer to a glorified autocorrect.
Why the heck would workers not be wary?

It really feels like AI companies are pushing AI onto businesses, and once they are addicted the price will go through the roof. You know, like a drug dealer.

LLM tell you what they think you want to hear, not the truth. It’s yet another step into hyperreality.

There are some things which machine learning or „AI“ might be useful for (some of the computer vision medical applications, for example). But as a consumer product it’s just a glorified predictive text, a search engine that makes shit up or an image generator that breaks copyright law.

Replace the entireity of government with AI, will produce dramatically better outcomes for lower cost.

It’s mainly being used as excuse to not hire grads and the like, eliminating those basic skills you learn that you can then build on.
Of course, where the next generation of skilled workers will come from is a problem for next quarter.

Why has the UK Government not done anything to stop the half baked so called AI apps which have destroyed businesses and are ruining society?
I can’t get any graphic design clients, nor multimedia work
I studied Interactive Multimedia Design in Uni and tried to build my business but COVID destroyed it and government wouldn’t help me or furlough me… Since then everyone says chat gpt can do that quicker…
So how come they didn’t protect us, the citizens…
Where are the suitable jobs for people who have been fucked by private ai companies from USA ????

With so many people being allowed to flood our country and the push for a.i, what do you think the end result is for the job market? Poverty and Crime for survival. Our governments care so much about the GDP they don’t realise the hell that’s coming.

So far we’ve seen ai has been a massive waste of resources, ways of attempting to cheat on school home work but failing spectacularly, printing out more bullshit in social media than ever before so I’m not suprised workers don’t want it
